An immigrant who came to America with nothing but determination — Jorge earned his success through discipline, hard work, and faith in this country's promise. Now he's ready to fight for Utah's students with that same grit.
"Earned, not given —
that's the American
story."
Utah's students, teachers, and families deserve a voice on the state board. Here's what I'll fight for.
Schools should teach academics, not political ideology. Jorge will oppose DEI mandates that divide students by group identity and distract from genuine learning.
Every child deserves the same opportunities regardless of background. Jorge believes in equal standards, equal expectations, and equal investment — for every student.
Schools should reinforce the values families already teach at home: respect, responsibility, and hard work. Jorge will champion a culture of discipline and dignity in every classroom.
Born in one of the world's most challenging environments, Jorge came to Los Angeles, California as an immigrant with little more than determination and a dream. Without federal assistance, he worked tirelessly to build a life through discipline and hard work.
That dedication paid off. Jorge graduated with honors and went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering as well as an MBA — a testament to what is possible when grit meets opportunity. He now puts that expertise to work serving the public as a professional at a public utility, helping keep the lights on for the communities he calls home.
But his greatest pride isn't found in a boardroom or a résumé — it's in his family. A devoted father, Jorge is rooted in the values of responsibility, perseverance, and community. When he's not serving others, you'll find him on the pickleball court, staying active and connected to the neighborhood he loves.
Jorge's story is the American story — earned, not given. And he's ready to bring that same work ethic to the school board, fighting for every resident who believes in building something better for themselves and their children.
Jorge's greatest pride isn't found in a boardroom or a résumé — it's in his family. A devoted father, rooted in the values of responsibility, perseverance, and community.
